myavatarblack.jpgIt will be my birthday in the next couple of days (Sigh!). I’m halfway through my golden years here on earth, and yet I still feel unfulfilled. Oh well, things happen for a reason and hopefully this coming years of my life will be more fruitful than ever.

For the last 2 years, I’ve the same birthday wish. And that is to get my visa in my dreamland. And I WISH THAT WILL HAPPEN THIS YEAR!! This year I have other wishlists,
here they are:

>> Ipod (or MP3 player) - being a music lover myself, I definitely have this first on my wish list. Why? Music has a lot of room in life. From doing my programs up to sweating out with that threadmills, I can’t live without music. And for me the best way to enjoy it is to plug those earphones and start playing my selections, various genre depending on my mood.

>> Badminton racket – we’ve been playing a lot of this cock game lately and since day 1 I’ve been using my sister’s racket with or without permission :-) . I definitely want my own one so I can play my heart out without the fear of wrecking it.

>> Cross-trainer shoes – a good badminton racket will be useless without a nice pair of cross trainer that will allow me to move from side to side effortlessly. :-)

>> brown shoes – I missed wearing these type of shoes, especially the pointed ones. They look awesome in tight jeans and semi-fit tops.

>> HDD enclosure – for those who don’t know this stuff, it is a piece of equipment where you put your HDD (Hard Disk Drive) and once you connect its USB cord to your computer it will be detected as an external drive. Cool isn’t? This makes backing up files cheaper, easier and manageable. Why do I want this one? We’ll we don’t know, but I have this feeling that this will be my last year in this company and I will need an enormous amount of disk storage to backup my files, both personal and project-based. That for sure includes my almost 6GBs of Mp3 that I have compiled for the last 3 years. :-) And badjojo stuffs…

>> Supplements: Whey Protein and Ripped Fuel – It’s summer time and I NEED TO SHRED SOME MORE!!! GIVE ME GIVE ME… Nah I think I have to buy this myself.

What did I learned lately:

Ever heard of MySQL++? It is a c++ wrapper that you can use if you plan to incorporate MySQL databases on your C++ applications. It’s easy to use and best of all, its free. Here check it out.

myavatarblack.jpgI don’t know what’s wrong with me. Last Sunday, I was too eager to work, thinking about the programs that I will be working with and getting excited with the outcome of it. But Monday came, and I was dissapointed with the result of my output. For the entire duration of the day, I know myself that what I did accomplished for that day is not enough. Most of the time I was just staring at my laptop.. or browsing the Net… worst just playing poker. Tuesday and Wednesday came and still I was performing the same. I think I am suffering from job burnout and I want to overcome it. And then I also received a memo this week, saying that starting next week, there will be stricter rules with regards to attendance, tardiness and breaktime. In a way I was hit by this memo for occasionally I am to lazy going to work which end up me being late or worst, absent. Hopefully this will fuel me forget about that job burnout thing.

Last night we were out Glorietta to dine and have a couple of drinks at Gilligans Makati, our usual hangout. We tend to visit this place often because the appetizers are great and beer/bar drinks are not that expensive. This is where casual drinking is haven. As we were having our dinner at G4 Food Choices, April mentioned something about the ghost that was seen at 7th floor of our building. She is working in one of the famous call centers here in Manila, and one of their offices is at the 7th floor of a building in Buendia. The story is, a female agent was doing her stuff inside one of the cubicles in the toilet of that floor when suddenly someone, a girl, peep from underneath the door!! The agent, the shock that she is, ran without putting back her pants/undies. What makes it believable is that according to her it was caught on tape. And why did I mentioned such story, I am at the same building, 27th floor, currently alone.

Going back to that memo . I noticed that most if not all of the things mentioned on that email are more on rules. Nothing is mentioned about benefits, perks or whatever that will motivate us (me!!). I am not against the stricter rules, but let us put balance to it by giving benefits too. Is this how you want to lead us for year 2007? Let’s see what will happen. I’m planning to write something about it on my status report hopefully I will not be too lazy to write tomorrow. Maybe I should stop playing Fight Night 3. I am so hooked-up, I sleep late everyday.

Last thing. I don’t know when did it started, but I am so annoyed with Ruffa Gutierrez. I dont know what goes on her mind everytime she speaks about his wealth, fame and fortune. As I was talking to a relative who just came from Australia for a vacation, she was also ired with Ruffa’s remarks on TV. With the number of poor people here in our country, I don’t think what she’s doing helps. Enough bragging, share your wealth and don’t tell anyone about it. That’s much better, take it from me.

myavatarblack.jpgHappy New Year!!Whew this will be my first post of the year, and my first after a looong hiatus. I even moved to wordpress from blogspot because I cannot open my account anymore. I think the last time I did visit it was last July. I admit, I ran out of time, idea and passion to write but after reading some blogs last week especially Ala’s blog I have decided to write again and spread my thoughts on various things.

A lot happened to me last year; I got sick heavily twice one from infection the other from an acute cough which is some sort of an infection also. Funny thing is I put a lot of effort protecting my computer from viruses and other malicious stuffs but in the end I was the one infected. Silly!

I have been to two countries – Malaysia and China. I did not enjoy a lot on the Malaysia trip because of the limited time and I DONT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO SPEND. The reason is, it is a non-income generating tour and they (the company) will do virtually everything just to save $$. I was even booked in a least cost carrier (AirAsia) where the
seats are to tight. Good thing the trip is short. The China trip is the best! even better that the one I took the other year, in Seychelles. The travel was nice, great food always and I got the chance to seeone of the seven(?) wonders of the world: The Great Wall of China. On our way there I was so excited, but when I’m up, I was asking myself WTF, why did I climbed this place? Just joking. If getting on top is great, our journey on the way down is the best! We rode a Tobaggan and I was kinda nervous and slow at first but soon after I felt the excitement, without hesitation I went full throttle and ended up hitting the guy in front of me haha… But I said sorry and shook his hand when we got to the end of the trip. :-)

I got pictures….
Great wall.. Great guy..Toboggan18112006475.jpg

The Christmas and New Year celebration we had is simple but still have lots of fun. Our X’mas dinner at Seaside in Macapagal turn out to be a mini-concert for me and my friend BJ. And I sound awful (And I dooont want the world to see me… haha :-) ) I hate that band singer for urging me to come to stage and jam with them. I wonder if I’ll be able to come back there.. Or hopefully not..
